Bakersfield First Church of the Nazarene (BFC), located in Bakersfield, California, is a Christ-centered, Bible-based congregation that exists to connect people to Jesus and each other. With a legacy of community service, education, and spiritual development, BFC is committed to being a light in its community—and now, it's harnessing sunlight in a whole new way.

In alignment with their mission to care for creation and be good stewards of God’s resources, BFC is in the process of installing a 50 kW solar energy system to power its building. With clean energy, BFC will save $861,000 on energy bills over time that will be directed toward ministry and outreach programs.
